Ind vs Afg: Rohit & Rinku scores 36 runs in 20th over

In the third T20 match that was played between India and Afghanistan,  Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh played a different cricket altogether, they both scored 36 runs against Afghanistan pace bowler  Karim Janat.

In the third T20 match, the Indian team, batting first, scored 212 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh were in excellent form in this match.

While batting, Rohit Sharma scored a century and Rinku Singh scored a half-century. In the last over of the innings, Rohit and Rinku together scored 36 runs. At one time the Indian team had lost 4 wickets for just 24 runs. Then Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh took over the innings.

He equaled the record of most runs in one over in T20 international cricket by scoring 36 runs in the last over. The pair equaled the record of Yuvraj Singh and Kieron Pollard, who had scored 36 runs in an over against England and Sri Lanka respectively.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first

In this match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. When Team India suffered 4 big setbacks at 24 runs, Rohit’s decision seemed wrong, but captain Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh present at the crease proved the decision right by batting brilliantly. These two batsmen made an unbeaten partnership of 188 runs for the 5th wicket.

Rohit played an unbeaten inning of 121 runs while Rinku Singh played an unbeaten inning of 69 runs. Due to this, Team India could reach 212 runs.

When the Indian team was batting, Karim Janat bowled the last over of Afghanistan’s innings. Karim gave 36 runs in this over. In this over of Karim, Rohit and Rinku hit 5 sixes and 1 four. Karim also bowled a no ball in this over. He hit a six on this no ball also. After this, Karim also hit a six on the free hit. In this over of Karim, Rohit Sharma hit 2 sixes and Rinku Singh hit 3 sixes.

Rohit Sharma Slammed Century

It was a sensational batting display from Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma as he slammed a brilliant century in the third T20I encounter against Afghanistan in Bengaluru on Wednesday. This was the fifth T20I century for Rohit and he became the first batter ever to achieve the feat in the shortest format of the game.

Rohit remained unbeaten on 121 off 69 deliveries with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes. Thanks to his phenomenal innings, Rohit also surpassed Virat Kohli’s tally to become the Indian cricket team skipper with the most runs in T20I cricket. Kohli held the record previously with 1570 runs as captain.

Rohit produced a marvellous Inning

Rohit produced a marvellous, situation-defying hundred, his fifth in T20Is, as India recovered from a top-order meltdown to post a massive 212 for 4 against Afghanistan in the third and final T20I.

Rohit (121 not out, 69b, 11×4, 8×6) and his perfect sidekick Rinku Singh (69 n,o, 39b, 2×4, 6×6) shared 190 runs for a stellar, unbeaten fifth-wicket stand as India came back from a flaky 22 for four after opting to bat first.

The numbers might suggest a different story, but it was not one of Rohit’s downright marauding knocks but he had to restrain himself for a good part of his stay because of the situation his team had dug itself in.

Even Rinku displayed his destructive instincts judiciously and that gradually-building crescendo was the trademark of their alliance.and scored beautiful 69 runs standing not out partnership with Rohit Sharma. after falling quick 4 wickets it was much needed partnership , Rohit and Rinku puts another top level show.

Rohit even had to bring out a rather rare shot from his arsenal, reverse sweep to unsettle Afghan spinners.
