After losing the first test, India won the second test in style against England in Visakhapatnam. India’s prominence in test cricket is top in the world, for the last decade journey has continued to lead from the front, though the last 2 test championship finals did not come as per expectation into the legendary batting lineup of the Indian Team.

England’s test cricket team is famous for playing ferocious cricket, after coining the word Bazball they started playing in way one-day cricket in test.

England put this strategy of their game into play. “Bazball” is the no-holds-barred strategy that prioritizes freedom of speech and a win-at-all-costs approach. English cricketers have adopted an aggressive style of the game during the past few months.

Former captain Virat Kohli missed the first two Tests for personal reasons and India were also without batter KL Rahul and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja after they picked up injuries in the series opener in Hyderabad.

What is Bazball Cricket

Bazball cricket is just a strategic word . As Bazball cricket has become a buzzword in England’s cricketing landscape, capturing the essence of a new approach to the sport. Coined after the legendary New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum, known as “Baz” during his playing days, this term signifies an aggressive and fearless brand of cricket.

Since McCullum’s appointment as Test head coach of England’s men’s team, it has maintained a strike rate of 77.06, the highest during this period. This fast-paced approach has also led to the execution of unorthodox shots, such as Joe Root’s frequent use of the reverse ramp.

Faster scoring

One of the key aspects of Bazball cricket is the approach of faster scoring rates. England’s batting exploits in the Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan showcased their ability to score quickly. They amassed a staggering 506 runs for four wickets on the first day, setting a record for the highest runs scored by a team in a day in Test cricket history.

Does Bazball’s batting approach work ?

Bazball’s batting approach, to attack the ball whenever possible, simplifies the mental process at the crease. A confident attacking stroke is less likely to lead to a wicket than an indecisive defence, as well as obviously producing more runs as a result.

Under the influence of Bazball cricket, England has adopted aggressive field placements and bowling changes. Former captain Michael Atherton highlighted the shift in mindset during the 1st Ashes Test, where Ben Stokes was compared to his Australian counterpart, Pat Cummins. so yes they outplayed India , Pakistan , Australia and New zealand .

Criticism also attached with Bazball cricket

Despite its success, Bazball cricket has faced criticism from some quarters. Indian bowler Ravichandran Ashwin questioned its suitability in certain conditions, stressing on the need to adapt to different pitch characteristics. Australian batsman Steve Smith expressed concerns about its sustainability on challenging wickets against formidable bowlers.

And it was seen in India , first test they won but in second test India neutralised England approach with Bumrah rash attack .

“As a youngster that [the yorker] is probably the first delivery I had learned because I had come from tennis ball cricket and I had seen the legends of the game, Waqar [Younis], Wasim [Akram] and even Zaheer Khan, I had seen them on the television, how do they bowl yorkers,” Bumrah told the broadcaster after India’s 106-run victory. “As a kid I used to feel that is the only way to take wickets. So that is the first delivery I learned. Yes, I kept it with me and I kept on using it to my advantage and now even in Test cricket when you get wickets off it, it’s great.”

Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal put better show
