Randeep Hooda, who made special headlines in the movie Sarabjit, is married to his long-time girlfriend Lin Laishram on November 29th here in Imphal, Manipur . All the rituals of Randeep and Lynn’s wedding were celebrated in a very traditional manner.
Who is Lin Laishram
Lynn Laishram is an Indian model and actress. She is originally from Imphal, Manipur. She is known for her role in the film “Mary Kom”. Lynn has also worked in some major films, such as ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Hat-Trick’.She has also done a cameo part in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film “Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola”.

What Is Meitei wedding culture?
As per the tradition of Matai community in Manipur, the bride and groom are seen as Lord Krishna and Radha on their wedding day. The songs sung on the wedding day, called Luhongba in the local Meitei dialect, are also dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha Ji.
Randiv Hooda Share pictures of the sacred bond of marriage on social media and while mentioning a small story from Mahabharata, he said, “Taking inspiration from Mahabharata where Arjun married Manipuri warrior princess Chitrangada, we are planning our wedding. Getting married with the blessings of families and friends.”
The bride Lin was wearing the Potloi skirt, which is a traditional garment made from sturdy fabric and bamboo. The drum-like Manipuri bridal dress has significant religious motifs hand-embroidered by skilled traditional weavers.
The Potloi comes with a blouse, usually in a deep emerald green, a woven belt worn around the waist, and Innaphi, which is a delicate muslin shawl wrapped around the upper body. The gold ornaments and the headdress is worn to symbolise the bride as Radha is called Jhapa.

Hooda was wearing a white dhoti with a traditional turban called Kokyet. He was also wearing a plain white shawl during the ceremony, which is a mark of purity and serenity. Since Hinduism among the Meitei ethnicity is brought from the Vaishnavism of Bengal, the Meitei Hindus weddings bear similarity to the traditional matrimonial style of the Bengalis.

They both chosen to marry in very settled and tradition wedding they for that they ditched the big fat wedding setup for a more intimate way. They got married on November 29, and they spent the rest of the time visiting temples to seek blessings for a new start and relief camp as well , they went to a “relief camp in Imphal where the riot affected people are displaced”. Hooda expressed his excitement after offering prayers. “I pray for a happy future, peace for Manipur and everywhere in the world, a happy married life and many more things. I hope i get them ” he added.
