Vivek Ramaswamy ends his Presidential Bid, endorses Trump
Indo-American US presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announces his presidential bid after a disappointing finish in Iowa.
Mr Ramaswamy called Trump the “best president of the 21st century”
Mr Ramaswamy sought to tap into the conservative base that had propelled Trump to success in previous elections. He has previously called Trump the “best president of the 21st century” even as he tried to convince Republican voters that they should opt for “fresh legs” and “take our America First agenda to the next level.”
Trump publicly denounced Ramaswamy
Ramaswamy support for Trump could be seen as Vivek loyalty to the honest contender and America first policy whereas Trump publicly denounced him, labeling him a “fraud” on his social media platform Truth Social and asserting that a vote for the Indian-American was a vote for the “other side.”
The Republican political outsider also modeled his bid on Trump’s run, throughout his campaigning he got attention as a fast-talking, headline-grabbing populist who relentlessly silenced the opponents.
Ramaswamy also endorsed Trump as the former US president
Ramaswamy also endorsed Trump as the former US president sought to reclaim the White House in November.
“I looked at every which way, and I think it’s true that we did not achieve the surprise that we wanted to deliver tonight… As of this moment, we are going to suspend this presidential campaign. There is no path for me to be the next president,” Ramaswamy said as quoted by PTI.Â
“As I’ve said since the beginning, there are two America First candidates in this race. And earlier tonight I called Donald Trump to tell him that I — congratulate him on his victory, and now going forward, you will have my full endorsement for the presidency,” he added.
Ramaswamy Gained Popularity
The Harvard-alumni millionaire gained his prominence in right-wing circles with his 2021 bestseller, “Woke, Inc.,” a scathing critique of corporate decisions based on social justice and climate change concerns.
Mr Ramaswamy’s fellow Republican presidential hopefuls often expressed frustration with him during debates, particularly  former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, herself of Indian origin, who took a jibe at him, saying, “Every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber.”
Ramaswamy announces closure of his campaign in social media site X
He posted his disappointment and closure of his campaign in social media site X saying that this entire campaign is about speaking the truth , we did not achieve our goal tonight & we need an America- First patriot in the White House .
