“I am fine, Mom and Dad should eat on time”: Laborer trapped in Uttarkashi Tunnel sent message

Uttarkashi. The workers trapped in the Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi have got some relief, as some of them talked to their families for the first time after being stuck in the tunnel for 10 days. On Tuesday, the officers engaged in the ongoing rescue work made it possible for conversation between the workers and their families through a 6-inch pipe line. Jaidev, one of these workers, asked his supervisor to record his message.

Jaidev said in Bengali, “Please record, I will tell something to my mother. Mother, tension corona ami thik achi. Time will tell. Babakeo time e khye nite bolbe (Mom, don’t worry about me, I am fine. Please you and dad eat on time).” Officers said that continuous talks are being held with the workers and their morale is being boosted. In this conversation also, the supervisor told the workers trapped in the tunnel not to worry, all of you will be taken out as soon as possible.

Other workers also sent messages to their families

Meanwhile, the workers were asked whether they wanted to give any message to their families. Jaidev has recorded his talk on this. This voice recording will be sent to his parents. Apart from Jaidev, other laborers have also sent messages to their families. In which he has told that he is stuck in the tunnel, but everyone is safe and there is nothing to worry about. Efforts are being made to get everyone out soon.

Rescue operation is being carried out at full speed in the tunnel.
Earlier, International Tunneling and Underground Space Association president Arnold Dix, who is currently overseeing the ongoing rescue efforts at the Uttarkashi tunnel collapse site, said work was being done to make the 6-inch pipeline fully functional. Is. He said that separate work is being done to create a safe place for the workers, and drills are also being conducted for the evacuation of all the workers. This entire work is being done very carefully.
