India beat Australia by 20 runs fourth T20I to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the fourth T20I of the five-match series in Raipur on Friday. Put into bat, Rinku Singh (46 off 29 balls) and Jitesh Sharma (35 off 19 balls) provided late fireworks to take India to 174/9. India has already won the series .
India vs Australia 4th T20I: Spinners Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi ensured a 20-run win for India before Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal set Australia a target of 175 in Raipur. India scored 174/9 in the allotted 20 overs and then restricted Australia to 154/7. India’s strong start
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad made an opening partnership of 50 runs before being dismissed on the last ball of the powerplay. India were in trouble with both Suryakumar and Shreyas Iyer falling within a few balls of each other, but Rinku Singh led the fight with Gaikwad with a partnership of 48 runs in 31 balls for the fourth wicket. After this, Jitesh Sharma kept up with Rinku’s strike rate and the pair added 56 runs in just 32 balls for the fifth wicket. After this, Ben Dwarshuis and Jason Behrendorff took two wickets each in the 19th and 20th overs, after which it was a bit disappointing for India. Rinku could not last till the end, getting out for 46 runs on the first ball of the last over bowled by Behrendorff. After this, Deepak Chahar was out on the third ball and Ravi Bishnoi was run out on the last ball, due to which India’s numbers were reduced. 174/9 in 20 overs.

Travis Head gave Australia a great start, especially when he scored 22 runs in the third over of Deepak Chahar. However, spinners Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel set things right for India with a flurry of wickets after the first five overs. Although it looked like India might be in trouble after the pair completed four overs, fast bowlers Deepak Chahar, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan kept up the pressure and restricted Australia to 154/7. In this way, India won the match by 20 runs and secured victory in the series as well.
